Endless straight roads and cycle pathways are an invitation for all travelling on two wheels. Kite flying is not only an adventure in the autumn. There are breezes behind the dykes all the year round. The sea level rises and sinks every 12 hours to the rhythm of the tide. Enjoy a guided tour along the mud flats at low tide. The flats are a unique protected natural landscape. |

How about a day trip by boat? Norddeich is the harbour for day trippers to the north sea islands of Norderney and Juist, there are also ships to Helgoland. Or how about a fishing trip, and see the seals on the sandbanks. (There is a seal station for orphan seals!) Shopping in picturesque streets or visit one of the local museums. One can also enjoy quiet peaceful walks.
